A History On Crossdressing I

'Crossdressing' has been around for quite some time & goes so far back in history.
Just look at how the men of the last few generations dressed. Today they would be considered 'strange' and of course the classic & typical...... homosexual -_-

So prepare yourself for a fun history lesson! =P

Mythology

Greek

Imagine you murdered somebody and as a punishment you become a slave to a woman who forces you to do womens work & even makes you dress the part.

This is what happened to Heracles/Hercules after murdering Iphitus. He was sentenced to become Omphale's slave for a period of 1 year.

Gender role reversal anyone? Omphale clad in Nemean Lion skin holding Hercule's club.

After some time Omphale freed Hercules and took him on as her husband.

This is not the only account of crossdressing in Greek Mythology

'Hero of the Trojan War' Achilles was dressed as a woman by his mother Thetis. She tried to disguise him because of a prophecy foretelling of how Achilles would die at Troy.

Norse

Odin, Ruler of Asgard dressed as a medicine woman called 'Wecha' after being turned down not once, but twice by Rindr as he was disguised as a warrior. Rindr had fallen ill so this was perfect for Odin's intentions.

I guess crossdressing runs in the family.
Thor, Son of Odin

Þrymr stole Mjölnir (Thor's Hammer). He demanded Freyja in exchange for the hammer as he desires the goddess to be his wife.
Planning on retrieving Mjölnir Thor & Loki dress as women, Thor as the bride (impersonating Freyja) with Loki as a birdesmaid.

Don't they look sooo cute? lol =P

  1. Have always been fascinated by the Omphale- "her"cules episode. how preciously amusing that the supposedly 'mightiest' male is MADE to BE A MAID, and ordered around and scolded and mocked by Omphale and Her entire court of Female servants!

Foreshadowing perhaps in ancient mythos on the final outcome for the male under future Female rule!
